Regina Summer Strings 2016

July 4 - 9

Regina Summer Strings is an inclusive program for string players of all levels and ages celebrating a community learning and loving music together. With a primary focus on chamber music, students will have the opportunity to work closely with the world renowned Afiara String Quartet, as well as to develop musical and technical abilities through orchestra, master classes with the outstanding RSS faculty. There will be many opportunities to perform and to listen throughout the daily schedule, as well as four inspiring faculty concerts. The week will culminate in a public student concert featuring orchestral and chamber music works.

“Effective education is based on love, approval, joy, and consistently successful experiences within a high-functioning, aspiring, nurturing community.”    Eric Booth

Regina Summer Strings 2016 will be held at Westminster Church Regina.

Guest Ensemble

We are thrilled to have the Pialli Quartet as our guest ensemble this year.

The Pialli Quartet came together in 2014 as quartet in residence for Chamber Music Society México.

For their Regina Summer Strings 2016 appearance, founding members Catherine Cosbey, violin, Sara McElravy, violin, and Annie Fullard, viola, are joined by Andrew Yee, cello, of the world-famous Attacca Quartet.

Regina Chamber Music Festival

We’re thrilled that once again this year our student and faculty concerts will be a part of the Regina Chamber Music Festival.
